Hello everyone!
I’m Kat, & I am your Creative Crayon & freelance graphic designer.
It’s official; I love design.
I’ve always been an arty person, spending hours and hours in the school art block, creating reams of drawings and prints. Maybe the white spirit got to me, but I knew I wanted to pursue a life of creativity. After school, I ventured to the beautiful town of Brighton to study Interior Architecture at university, which gave me an insight into the world of graphic design and 3D modeling.
After University, I succumbed to the travel bug and toured the world, trying some of the most amazing things: I became a connoisseur of Thai food (in my mind anyway), viewed the world from 15,000ft, climbed a glacier, and can honestly say that Vegas paid for itself!
Once I returned to the UK, I dabbled in marketing and events. I worked with James Lewis on our world record attempt for the longest auction ever held by one person. After an exhausting 26 hours, James stepped down from the rostrum after raising a whopping £60,000, which was split amongst ten charities (local and national).
After the auction, desperate to get back to design, and joined one of Derby’s small business gems, Essential Print Services. Then the University of Nottingham hired me for their design team, where I helped them with their rebrand and produced campaign materials for Student Recruitment, Research, and Reputation.
I established Creative Quirks to deliver exciting design that my clients love to share. If you have an idea that you would like to bring to life, why wait? Let's chat and bring those ideas of yours to life.
See you soon,
Kat, your Creative Crayon
